Jesus is Steady

The world is fickle but our Jesus is steady.

            One of the benefits of eating a family meal together daily, is the steadiness of the routine. The family goes off in the morning to their various duties, work, school, hobbies. They encounter various trials, temptations, successes and failures. The day to day grind is up and down. But the family returns every evening and sits down together for food, family, fellowship, nourishment, encouragement. Mom’s faithfulness in the kitchen to set us down to family meal builds confidence in your children and restores peace, rest and joy to your home.

            This meal is like that. We have been in the world all week doing our various duties. The results are all over the place. Some good. Some bad. Much still unknown. But we get to come and eat at this Table every week. Our Father has prepared the fare for us, and it is very good. Our festive meal is to lay hold of Jesus Christ by faith and we find that as we do, He restores our peace, rest and joy.
