Rest and Recuperation
The Christian life is full of tribulation, a day-to-day fight against sin, pressures from work and relationships, health problems that persist and sometimes grow worse, especially with advancing age. Raising children is a blessing but also a wearying challenge.
Children, adults and parents have need of rest from life’s difficulties but so do you. You have worries for school and you need wisdom to work through relationships with siblings, friends and parents. You are figuring out life as your body and mind grow.
Saints, remember that the Lord’s Day is a day of rest, a day of delight in the Lord, a day of faith, trusting Jesus in whatsoever situation He has for you. Learn to rest on this day by resting on Him, by resting in Him. You need this rest and recuperation so that you may continue in the battle faithful to Jesus to the end.
So, by faith receive Jesus offered to you in in this meal. Find rest for your souls in this day of rest and recuperation in Christ.
